Steps

  1. 1 Install at home over Wi‑Fi before you leave (recommended).
  2. 2 You do not need to turn on travel data until you arrive.
  3. 3 When you land, enable mobile data and data roaming on the travel eSIM.

What should I do right after landing?

Steps

  1. 1 Turn off Airplane mode.
  2. 2 Wait 1–2 minutes for the phone to register on a local network.
  3. 3 Confirm the travel eSIM is selected for mobile data.
  4. 4 Enable Data roaming on the travel eSIM line.
  5. 5 Open a browser or maps app to test connectivity.
  6. 6 If needed, toggle Airplane mode once or restart your phone.

My eSIM is stuck on “Activating”. Is that normal?

Often yes — especially before you travel.

Steps

  1. 1 Installation can finish at home while the profile waits for a foreign network.
  2. 2 Activation usually completes when you arrive and connect in the destination country.
  3. 3 If it stays stuck after landing, restart the phone and check data roaming is on.

I have old travel eSIMs on my phone. Can that cause problems?

Steps

  1. 1 Phones have a limited number of eSIM profile slots.
  2. 2 Remove unused or expired travel eSIMs you no longer need.
  3. 3 Retry installing or activating your new eSIM.

How do I check eSIM support and carrier lock?

Steps

  1. 1 iPhone: Settings > General > About — look for “No SIM restrictions”.
  2. 2 Android: check SIM status or carrier lock in settings (varies by brand).
  3. 3 If the device is locked, contact your carrier to unlock before travel.

Can I add more data while traveling without reinstalling?

Steps

  1. 1 If your plan supports top-up, open the eSimity app or use your order reference.
  2. 2 You do not need a new QR code — credit applies to the same installed eSIM.
  3. 3 Keep data roaming enabled on the travel eSIM line after topping up.
